SPLAT Family – Getting Started

- Getting started with SPLAT Family app
- Before you begin, here are the things you need to set up your account:
- Android 5.1 or later / iOS 11 or later. If your device runs on an unsupported OS version, you won’t be able to search for the app in the store.
- At least 100 MB (megabytes) of free phone storage.
- An active internet connection (for first-time setup and syncing of data).
- Sheet of paper from adviser/school, containing SPLAT Family app details.
- Your child’s Learner Reference Number (LRN)
- LRN can be found on your student’s previous report card.
- If you don’t have access to the previous report card, please reach out to your student’s current adviser for the LRN.
- Your one-time code for SPLAT. (This is included in the provided sheet of paper.)
- Downloading SPLAT Family app
- Open the Google PlayStore app for Android or the AppStore for iOS users.
- Search for SPLAT Family. (Why can’t I find the SPLAT app in Play Store / AppStore?)
- Tap SPLAT Family from the search results.
- Tap the ‘Install‘ button.
- Setting up your account in SPLAT Family app
- Open your SPLAT Family app.
- Select ‘Philippines‘ as your country.
- Select your preferred language.
- Tap ‘Start Enrollment‘
- Read the “Things you will need to join a school”.
- Tap ‘Continue‘.
- For LEARNERS
- Select ‘I am a learner/student‘.
- Enter your first and last name using the appropriate fields.
- Enter your 12-digit LRN.
- Enter the 4-digit code from the piece of paper provided by your adviser or school.
- Sign in using your preferred method:
- Tap the Google icon to use your gmail account.
- Select your preferred Google account.
- Tap the Facebook icon to login using your Facebook account.
- Tap ‘CONTINUE AS [FACEBOOK NAME]‘.
- Tap ‘Create a SPLAT account‘ using an active email.
- Enter your email address.
- Create a password for your SPLAT account. NOTE Read the password requirements below.
- Re-enter your password for confirmation.
- Enter the verification code sent to your email.
- Tap ‘Verify‘.
- Tap the Google icon to use your gmail account.
- For PARENTS / GUARDIANS
- Select ‘I am helping the learner with their education‘.
- Sign in using your preferred method:
- Tap the Google icon to use your Google account.
- Select your preferred Google account.
- Tap the Facebook icon to login using your Facebook account.
- Tap ‘CONTINUE AS [FACEBOOK NAME]‘.
- Tap ‘Create a SPLAT account‘ using an active email.
- Enter your email address.
- Create a password for your SPLAT account. NOTE Read the password requirements below.
- Re-enter your password for confirmation.
- Enter the verification code sent to your email.
- Tap ‘Verify‘.
- Tap the Google icon to use your Google account.
- Read and agree to the ‘Terms of Use‘.
- Read the Data Privacy Policy.
- Under the policy, tap the check box ‘I grant RightSize…‘
- Tap the ‘Agree‘ button.
- Read the PIN requirements below and create your own PIN on the first field.
- Re-type your PIN in the second field.
- Tap ‘Continue‘.
- Managing your SPLAT Family account.
- Reset your account PIN
- Open your SPLAT Family app.
- Sign in to your account.
- Enter your current PIN.
- Tap the hamburger menu on the upper-right corner of your screen.
- Tap ‘CHANGE PIN‘ from the options.
- Enter your current PIN, then tap the ‘SUBMIT‘ button.
- Enter your new 4 to 6-digit PIN, then tap the ‘SUBMIT‘ button.
- SPLAT contains confidential student information and is very much in compliance with the Data Privacy Act, RA 10173 . Please avoid using PIN’s that are easy to compromise, like 0000 or 1234.
- Re-enter your new PIN, then tap the ‘SUBMIT’ button.
- Adding a learner into your account.
- In SPLAT, parents have the option to link more than 1 student to their account. This allows parents with multiple students, to monitor all their children with just one account.
- Open your SPLAT Family app.
- Sign in to your account.
- Enter your PIN.
- Tap the hamburger menu on the upper-right corner of your screen.
- Tap ‘Add learner‘ from the options.
- Enter the LRN of the new student and your one-time code for SPLAT.
- LRN can be found on any previous report card or your may reach out to the adviser.
- One-time code is in the piece of paper provided by the adviser.
- Select your relationship to the learner using the drop-down.
- Select whether or not the learner will use the same device for distance learning.
- If the learner will use the same device as the parent or guardian, select ‘Yes‘.
- If the learner has his/her own device, select ‘No‘.
- Once done, tap the ‘OK‘ button.

- Manually refresh your SPLAT Family app data.
- To make sure you’re looking at the accurate and recent data, you can perform a manual data sync while connected to the internet.
- Open your SPLAT Family app.
- Enter your PIN.
- Tap the hamburger menu on the upper-right corner of your screen.
- Tap ‘Sync Data‘ from the options and wait for the sync to complete
- Tap the leftmost icon (learner) on top of your screen to see updated data.
- To make sure you’re looking at the accurate and recent data, you can perform a manual data sync while connected to the internet.
- Change the language used in your SPLAT Family app.
- Open your SPLAT Family app.
- Enter your PIN.
- Tap the hamburger menu on the upper-right corner of your screen.
- Tap ‘Change language‘ from the options.
- Select your preferred language from the list.
- Reset your account PIN

- What if your preferred Google account is not on the list?
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Google accounts list and tap the ‘Add another account‘ option.
- Enter the phone’s password / biometrics.
- Enter your Google account credentials.
- Tap the ‘I agree‘ button.
- Check your device’s Android version.
- Open your device’s ‘Settings‘ screen.
- Scroll all the way down to the bottom.
- Tap the ‘About phone‘ option.
- Tap ‘Software information‘.
- Check your Apple device’s iOS version.
- Open your device’s ‘Settings‘ screen.
- Tap the ‘General‘ option.
- Tap ‘About phone‘.
